Our story

For the parenting team around your baby.

ParentPod was born out of exhausted 3am conversations, forgotten feeds, and the distinct feeling that modern parenting software was solving the wrong problem. We built the tool we wished we’d had.

The founder’s story

I was the parent texting ”did you feed him?” at 3am.

Our son was born on a Tuesday. By Friday, my partner and I had a group chat with ourselves titled “the baby facts” where we frantically typed times and ounces we’d never remember. We kept missing each other’s messages. We kept logging the same feed twice. I remember thinking: this is a software problem dressed up as a parenting problem.

I’ve been building software for a decade — most recently as an independent engineer running Beyond Volatility LLC. When my parental leave started, I didn’t mean to start a company. I meant to get some sleep. But every baby tracker I downloaded was built for one parent with a spreadsheet brain. None of them understood that the actual unit of care isn’t a single parent — it’s a team: two parents, a grandparent across town, the sitter on Tuesday, the pediatrician on Thursday. None of them talked to each other.

So I started building the tool my own family needed. Voice logging, because my hands were always full. Shift handoffs, because we kept losing updates in group texts. An AI that actually read my kid’s real patterns, because I didn’t have time for generic advice. A calm, quiet interface, because the last thing an exhausted parent needs is another dopamine slot machine.

That tool became ParentPod. My family still uses it every day. And now I’m sharing it with yours.

If you’re in the weeds with a newborn right now — I see you. I built this for us.

Our mission

Make parenting feel like a team —
because it already is.

I’m building a calm, smart, beautifully designed baby tracker for the whole team around your child. It should take work off your plate, not add to it. It should know you and your baby — not the other way around.

The road here

Four beats, one app.

From a 3am text to a product my family still uses every day.

3:47 am

“Did you feed him?”

The text that started it. My partner and I were losing shift handoffs in a group chat with ourselves.

Parental leave

Started building

Voice logging, because my hands were always full. Shared timeline, because spreadsheets aren't a family.

Private beta

Family-tested

My own family used it first. Every rough edge got polished under real 3am conditions — not a design studio.

Today

Shared with you

ParentPod is live, free to start, and the app I still check before my morning coffee.

What we believe

Four values guide every decision.

Calm over clever

One toggle. Zero badges, streaks, or dopamine traps.

Team over solo

Built shared-first. Works for two people in the same room.

Privacy is not a feature

We don’t sell it, don’t train on it. One-tap export and deletion.

AI should be grounded

Answers from your baby’s real data — not generic Googled advice.

Beyond Volatility LLC

One founder. An enormous problem.

ParentPod is built by Rock at Beyond Volatility LLC — a solo founder who ships fast, listens to the families using it, and answers every support email personally.
